Friday Night was a special night as the Tigers took on their first conference game against Oswego East Wolves.

The Tigers came into the game with a 1-1 record with a loss their previous game against Bishop McNamara by a field goal.

Captain JD Ekowa had a great game with 4 touchdowns for the night.

Offensively the Tigers played solid as senior Zach Shelton forced and recovered a fumble which lead to the team scoring their 2nd touchdown of the game.

Defensively the Tigers came out on top only allowing 9 points and having a huge block for the extra point field goal attempt.

The Tigers start out their conference record 1-0 and give Oswego East their first loss of the season [2-1] and first loss in the SPC.

“I think we played very well, our defense played great and had a lot of 3 and out series and big stands. Our offense played well we just need to sure up a few more things but we still did great as a team. We couldn’t be more happy with the win but now we just look to the next game and are focused on our next objective,” said Shelton.

The Tigers play their next game September 18 against Plainfield South and look to add another win in conference.
